About Me: |
I have had interest in Astronomy and Meteorites since the third grade. My education background includes having an “Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology”. Since I retired from the military (USMC) I have put more effort into the studies of the two subjects. Right now I study meteorites in thin sections. In August of 2009 I wrote an article in the Meteorite magazine "Meteorites from the Hayden Planetarium". Let’s say now I'm putting more time into my studies of Meteorites in thin section using a polarized microscope which takes up most of my time. Besides collecting meteorites in thin section I also collect meteorites in general. I have found two meteorites in Tucson, Arizona need to get them classified. I do communicate with Dr. Derek Sears who wrote a book on the subject "The Origin of Chondrules and Chondrites". I also study the Sun since the 70's. I have an Asteroid named after me Asteroid 2000 CV #17219.
